7 day hunt gear pictures

Bunch of naysayers. I got it all in with my ed t custom stove lashed to the bottom of the pack. Had to lash my kuiu polartec to the back of the pack though. Tips my only scale which goes up to 50lbs.

Unless something newer and better comes out I will keep the exo. Liking it so far.

Im 6 foot tall. AS you can see in the photos the 3500 is massive when completely filled out. I think the 5500 would be a bit much for me. Im happy with the 3500 size wise.

I will be talking alot more about it in the next few days. So far the one thing that I dont like is the way the lid attaches permanently and not adjustable on the front. I feel like when I have a load like this and its completely stuffed that the Lid should free float instead of being sewn in on the front. the 3/4 buckles are a bit of a pain in the rear also. They are hard to adjust. the Cinch downs at the top of the long side pockets. Sure I will have more that bugs me. But the positives far outweight the negatives.

By the way Dot... Sold the Xing =-) You missed out. But it went to a good guy whos going to get good use out of it.

James, good luck on your trip. I'm headed out tomorrow night for a couple of nights out with the 3500 also---looking forward to trying it out.

Randy

James - no doubt you are prepared!

Enjoy your time in the mountains - best of luck!

Hey James, I've got mine all packed, too. Looks real similar to yours. I've got my FF 10* bag in a five string stuff sack on the bottom where you've got your stove. I have way too much stuff, too. Heck, I almost forgot the food! I'm impressed with what the 3500 will hold. I'd like to see the 5500 next to it. Being only three days and so close to the highway I'm not worried about weight. I'm even bringing my aeropress espresso maker!

I have the same minor complaints about the small buckles and sewn in lid. I'd like to see horizontal web attachments on the back like the vertical ones. I'd be able to get more gear attached to the outside.

I figure we will have a ton of sh!t at our camp!

Was actually thinking about a Semi Live Hunt. Dont look for anything Pro but a as I go Post. Take Rokslide on the hunt with me. First weekend me and Parshal will be in tandem Rest of week I will be solo unless Mike comes up.

DO IT! I thought about doing the same but don't know if I'll have reception enough to post.
