SHTF, looks like a solid list. That said if I was only going in 15 mins, I'd bring like 20 pounds in beer too. Might as well right? Or make a couple trips to get whatever you want in there. Honestly though if only going in that far why even bother with camping back there and not just camp at the truck and hike in there so you can bring whatever you want?

I've got a similar plan this year but going in ~30min will save me a river crossing twice a day. Without that, I'd be at the truck, in a tent with a comfy cot and eating real food (w/ beer)!

This is right off the major Highway I70 running through the Colorado Mountains. Camping at the Trunk is probably not a good idea. =) I was pretty shocked at how fast we where into Elk in there. within a mile of the freeway we where spotting them on the Ledge above. Proof they are everywhere out here.

I aint Claiming to be nothing Little B........ Just looking to have some fun out in the woods and see if I can get lucky =-) The area is beautiful. Want to enjoy it. To be honest if I go out there and roam around the woods for days Id still have alot of fun even if I didnt get a shot off. Putting an Arrow in a Elk would just be a bonus.
