I haven't had any SB caused issues. I typically loose brass to other reasons like primer pockets or split necks before sizing the base .002" more than a regular die.Any downside to using a SB die for a bolt action?

I would guess 2750 should be attainable based on the velocity I saw with my 16”. I also have 1500 on my bench and I need to find an accurate load. I have a junior hunter I’m taking out for deer the next few weekends. After the season, I’ll find a load and post my findings.I just made a random dummy round and I’ll probably be ordering a PBB barrel on Monday. I now have 2,500 95gr TMKs and it looks like it’ll be a good combo. Anyone have any velocity numbers with these out of a 20” barrel?

It’ll be for my tikka. That round is 2.53 long and fits perfectly in the water 2.6 OAL mag.I would guess 2750 should be attainable based on the velocity I saw with my 16”. If you have the option (a bolt action), I would throat the barrel/load them out farther than I can with an AR magazine/lower.
I wouldn’t put 2800-2825 out of the picture then. I stopped when the powder got crunchier that I felt comfortable loading. If I had more room…. Let us know how it goes! It’ll be for my tikka. That round is 2.53 long and fits perfectly in the water 2.6 OAL mag.
@longrangelead did you ever AI the 6x45?
I’m liking those numbers. I have 4895 and 8208 on hand so I’ll be testing those out first with lapua brass and 205MAR primers.I wouldn’t put 2800-2825 out of the picture then. I stopped when the powder got crunchier that I felt comfortable loading. If I had more room…. Let us know how it goes!
I haven’t played with those two powders in it yet (8208 is on my bench), I got my numbers from lc brass, #41 primers, and h335.I’m liking those numbers. I have 4895 and 8208 on hand so I’ll be testing those out first with lapua brass and 205MAR primers.

Seems to be semi popular here in New Zealand, there's a few guys I've seen running thenHave any of you messed with a 6-204/6-204AI?
I'm intrigued but want an idea if the juice is worth the squeeze having to buy brass and such.
