6mm Creedmoor hunting rifle (factory only)

They are already in the field.

It’s Sako… They may wait for a big splash like a SHOT show, or they may just go ahead and start shipping once enough production is on hand on Finland.

My guess is the latter, and we’ll see them on shelves by hunting season.
Think they’ll be less than $800?

I’m guessing they will release with the ACE models first unfortunately, because those are the only 6 creeds that I know of that exist.

So whatever those cost will be the price. Hopefully the regular lites come at the same time or shortly after.

Im not holding my breath for 2025 but holding hope for 2026. I've spent too much time getting my 7RM superlite figured out to change to 6CM this year, but if they hit Q1 or Q2 of 2026 I'll have time to swap over. Now that my current rifle is shooting well Id love to just have both but no way I could afford another rifle and scope combo for quite awhile.

Those ACE rifles make me think, meh. Give me an 18" 5/8x24 SS Lite 1:7.5 twist... Now we're in business.

If you think the chance a 6mm stainless lite is out by spring 26’ are pre high, I’ll just tough it out w a 308 or add a 6.5 prc this year because I want one of those as well.

I haven’t seen or shot the lite or stainless lite in 6 Creed. I’ve only seen and shot the ACE Target model in 6 creed.

I’m not sure which models will go up for sale in 6 creed when officially launched to retailers.

Should I just grab a 6.5 prc, some 147 eldms and hope for the best?
Thats never really a wrong answer in my opinion haha.

In saying that, run some numbers on how much terminal range and wind number bonuses you get stepping up from 6.5 CM to 6.5 PRC. And what your personal abilities are at said ranges.

When guys ask me this question the answer is almost always 6.5CM over 6.5PRC, because the “advantages” don’t outweigh the two biggest “negatives” (free recoil energy in hunting weight rifles, and barrel life).

I feel like the 6 creed could give me what I’d want out of a 6.5 creed w less recoil. I have a 308 for a rifle with an abundance of factory ammo. 6.5 prc would be more forgiving in wind + is on the lower end of recoil for what I’d call a western elk/mule deer rifle.

So I have these hunting rifles:

2x 30-06
2x 308
1x 270 win
1x 30-30 Win
1x 223 1-7 Twist AR-15

I’m wanting a light recoiling round to hunt deer with on my property in Kentucky. I’ve settled on the 6mm creed shooting 108 ELD-Murders. My property is unique as you can see 1,000 yards in every direction (you’d have to see the property to understand, it’s an old strip mine up in the mountains). I watched an huge 10 pointer walk away from me at 550 last year. After reading the 6mm/243 thread here, it’s pretty much convinced me.

The Ruger American Gen 2 seems to be the only factory option that meets my criteria without going custom but I have read horror stories with people having feeding issues which is no good where i hunt. I’m wanting the gun to be sub 7lbs before my optic (3-9 Trijicon Accupoint with Mil dot reticle). What are the odds tikka comes out with a 6mm creed next shot show in the stainless lite or should I just risk the Gen 2 Ruger? Custom really isn’t an option financially for me and I don’t want to rebarrel any of the current rifles I have. TIA. Trying to stay under 800 dollars for the rifle. I also do not reload so a 1-8 twist tikka isn’t what I want.

Also considered the 6mm arc howa mini , but would really love to stick w the 6 creed.
I've owned and hunted with a RA G2 in 6 Creed for the last couple of years. Mine has an upgraded trigger and a can on it but is otherwise stock. I have had zero issues with feeding, and it's become one of my loaner rifles when I am mentoring new hunters. I have zero reservations recommending it to new hunters.

They already exist. They just aren’t available yet.

I’d wait 20 years for Tikka 6 Creed over buying a Ruger American haha.

I think you’ll be surprised that the Tikka 6 Creed isn’t that far off.

I would love to be wrong.....

However, ruger americans have never treated me wrong either...LMAO...
