6mm Creed Rifle

Looking at getting a 6 Creed.
What rifle are you all shooting?
Looking to get some opinions from you all on what your shooting and how you like it.
Or if you have one you do not like for whatever reason would be helpful as well.

Did not like the Ruger American Predator in 6 Creed, factory ammo wouldn't feed reliably out of either style of magazine and Ruger refused to acknowledge the actual problem and do anything about it. Cartridge was awesome and super fun to shoot though.

I've been putting one together in the last couple of months. Once the chassis arrives this week it should be about done. It's a Tikka T3X semi-custom. I'll find out soon whether it was a good idea but I'm about as confident as I've ever been about a build.

Edit: Got asked about the details so will put them below.

Tikka Superlite action/bolt (which is stainless)
PVA 6CM Osprey prefit barrel at 18" and 0.75" taperless contour with 5/8-24 threads

• I had PVA install it since I didn't want to deal with getting the factory barrel off

TBAC non-timed CB brake to mount my suppressors (used Loctite 272 for mounting)
TBAC Ultra-7 suppressor (I have like 6 TBAC suppressors so will either use the 7 or the 9)
Area419 20MOA Tikka T3 rail

• Installed this morning with Loctite 380 Black Max adhesive on the surfaces and Loctite 243 on the screws

KRG Midas two-stage trigger since I'm big into two stage triggers. It's widely known as the best Tikka two-stage.

• Will install with Loctite 243 once the chassis arrives and I set up the pull weights

SWFA 3-15x42 Gen 2
NF Ultralight 30mm medium height rings
Vortex bubble level for scope
KRG Bravo chassis

Still need to order:
KRG ARCA spigot (I have it on 2 other chassis and it's a must for me)
KRG ARCA rail (full length, for bipod and tripod mounting)
Aadland scope caps (they're the only brand I use now)
LS Wild padded scoped action armor (got one for another rifle and quite like it)

I'm currently shooting a Springfield Waypoint. Good rifle, I like it. I'll probably pass it along when my Marshall comes in sometime this year.

I’ve got 3 and they have all been great.
- Ruger American gen 1 cut back to 18” - I’ve only shot it with my thermal on but it’s deadly with Hornady 105gr bthp and 108eld
- tikka t3x with a 18” 6cm preferred barrel blank… it’s a really handy and light gun. Shoots everything from 95gr NBT to 108 eldm submoa.**it was very finicky when I first got it on shooting consistently sub moa. Turns out it was my yhm qd mount causing sporadic groups. Recently went direct thread DD enticer and it tightened groups up even more
-my favorite 6cm I have started out as a bergara ridge 308… I never could get it to shoot good so I sent it to Alamo precision and had a 20” brux 6cm put on it.. it’s boringly accurate and shoots everything in tiny little groups. I’ve killed the most stuff with 105gr hornady bthp and it wreck em while also leaving a good exit .

The 6 creed is an absolutely fantastic round.
Light recoil and just flat out kills. Get one and don’t look back

Ruger gen 2, This one continues to amaze me shoots sub moa with 103's 108's and 100's. The stock is not bad at all either.

I have two Fieldcrafts. One is threaded and suppressed for wolves and coyotes and the other is used for caribou. I've also had a custom assembled and am waiting on warmer weather t target it.

This is a great cartridge IMO. I find it much easier to load for than my 243s and hopefully will be easier on barrels.

I have a tikka action. It’s in a XLr chassis and I got a 6 creed prefit barrel put on. It shoots well. I Shoot 108 Berger’s or 108 ELDMs out of it

I did a custom build off of a Kelbly nanook but aside from the cool factor of it being a custom rifle I really don’t think you gain anything over a rebarreled tikka. My rebarreled tikkas shoot incredible and feed like butter in the 2 7mm-08’s and 3 7prc’s I’ve done. I wouldn’t hesitate to do one on a 6mm creed

I bought a CZ 600 Range for target shooting.
Great rifle, great cartridge.
Weighs over 13# so it's not going in the field anytime soon.
only issue is it's picky feeding long (112 grain) cartridges.
I would buy the CZ 600 Alpha for a field gun and have CZ polish the ramp.
My son shoots the Alpha in .308 and it's stupid accurate with a great trigger.

I have a Bergara Premier Approach (premiers are way different than the import bergaras) - love it, its a tackdriver.

I had a 21” Fieldcraft that I should have never sold and now a 19” Tikka T3x that replaced it, both were extremely easy to load for and deliver a payload way out of their weight class. I can’t imagine ever being without a 6 Creed or similar cartridge anymore.

This. Seekins. And, I saw a great deal on a PH2 in a classified a bit back. The PH2 is an awesome rifle too.

If not, a Tikka or action of your choice with a prefit barrel gets you exactly what you want.

Otherwise it’s a crap shoot with other factory rifles. Lots of good barrels, but some lemons.

If one has a Tikka, the prefit option is such a nice one. So many good barrels out there.

If you can wait, I heard at SHOT that Tikka was working on a 6mm for this year. Don’t hold your breath waiting for it though.
