The backside was actually clean. Quartering to shot so definitely hit bone on impact

I use my .243 for coyote and deer (I usually run Hornaday whitetail 100gr, they don't go far), but bear and moose, I just use the 30-06. Bear I do 150gr and Moose I do 180gr. They don't go far either. I find 30-06 better for bushy areas and longer ranges.
