Has anyone used the 105 grain Barnes Matchburner bullets on game? Has basically the same BC as the 103 ELDX and only requires a 9 twist barrel. If it works as well as the 112 does, they have a great price per unit.

I may be late to this, but I can add some more animals to the thread.
All shot with a Savage 110 in 243win and 95gr BTs reloads at 3000fps, most with suppressor. SWFA 3-9MQ Scope. Tupperware stock camo painted with my kids.

This was my first hog, about 90yds, Wallowing in the mud, almost straight on, though some hard quartering towards. Hit on neck behind ear, dropped on spot

Was hunting for meat, but out came this nice 9 pointer, never fully clear of brush, hard quartering away, dropped on spot. stiff. Couldn't find the entry or exit, until small drip of blood right behind the elbow, which was where I aimed. Bullet took lung, top of heart and lodged on cervical spine, some core and full jacket left.

Was gonna practice offhand and tripod shooting on a firend's place at his metal gongs, and came across a sounder crossing a trail. Popper this big sow in the neck, offhand at about 60yds. DRT.

Another hog, hit in the head, and eye popped out. DRT.

Only had 2 animals shot with this combo that have run, rionically the smallest ones:
A button buck, tigh behind the shoulder, turned around and bolted. 80ish yd blood trail looked like a gore movie or oil tanker dripping. Upon recovery autopsy showed both lungs mushed and heart split in 2, Exit size about 2inches.

Another hoglet about the size of a cocker spaniel shot behind shoulder, run about 15yds, also spraying like a cropduster

i'll try to look for pics of those.

Yes! Thank you so much
I really liked the antlers (not that I evaluated prior to shooting). I am not a trophy hunter, and not very experienced evaluating age, but will take good deer if given the chance. It is indeed very symmetrical and nice bases, very good for that area.
