Midway has factory seconds on clearance. 87Vmax, 90 NBT, 103eldx, 108eldm all over half off new price.

Cheap 6mm range bullets.

*I'm assuming these are the bullets, as I couldn't find any other tipped bullet at that grain weight and caliber.

Can someone help me ID a bullet? I assumed it was a 90gr NBT, it was the only 90 tipped I knew of. Learned there was an ELDX.

Does someone have one or both of those to compare, or can ID from picture?

Two white tail does killed this year with the 16” 6 ARC. Shooting 108 ELDM’s at 2500 FPS muzzle velocity. Wife’s doe was 150 yards and second doe was 230-240, exit wound pictured was the 240 yard shot, heart was from wife’s shot that impacted the bone just above the elbow. This gun continues to blow golfball or bigger sized exits out of whitetail at 200+ yards. Gives me all the confidence in the world in this bullet at bigger game.

I believe the 90 gr nosler ballistic tip has a shorter boat tail than the bullet you have pictured. I would guess the bullets you have are 90gr eldx. I don’t have any of either on hand to measure.

108 ELDM from an 18" 6 creed running 2863fps. Shot was quartering away around 30yds. I was aiming a bit high to hopefully save the shoulders as the meat is going to a buddy of mine who lost his spot this year.

Note: the wide hole on his left side was the entrance wound. The small hole on the offside was the exit.

Only a sample of one but I like the 108 elite hunter just a bit better from what ive seen this year. I'm assuming takes longer to disrupt which explains why I got a bigger exit with a slightly smaller entrance on the bergers.

Shot was too high and I had no blood for about 40yds and he was laying at 50yds. I heard him pile up so it was no big deal. The lack of blood I'm blaming on my shot placement high in the chest cavity.

Still searching for the perfect bullet for my scenario here in the south where my shots are more likely to be 50yds than 450 but ideally would like one load to do it all. I have 95BTs to test next. After that I'm going to the 100gr partitions which I'm sure I'll like and give up BC.

Sounds like the 95 BT is your bullet

What is it that you don’t like about the eldm?

How does the 6 prc compare to the 6 um?
The ackley like case geometry of the UM, plus the 7gr capacity advantage, gives the UM likely a 150fps advantage. I used a drop tube to stuff as much N570 into my 20in 6prc, was only able to reach 3140fps. The UM is likely getting close to 3300. My 24in 6saum(not improved) was able to reach 3450 with the N570/dtac combo. It shoots best about 100fps slower tho.

I'd love to take an old 6mm blank and chamber it in 6saum, load up a bunch my 63.5gr N570/Dtac load and run a velocity test by starting at 28 and ending at 16 in 2" intervals. A lot of money/time in the persuit of science.

Seemed like at close range it's extremely frangible. That's what I came to after seeing the large entrance and small exit. The Berger seemed to retain more. I imagine because it doesn't have the tip initiated expansion.

So I was at the dead pile today. I picked up these 2 scapulas. They are from different cows. Both were 10+ year old angus cross. Both were about 1600# live wt.
The hole is from a 108 eldm at 1800 fps impact. You can see the bullet went through a thicker area on the edge, and cut a healthy gash in the pallet afterwards . I have 6 fresh shoulder blades coming from the processor. So more fun to come .
