The 107gr TMK that Sierra made was a 6.5mm. I am not aware that they ever made a different 6mm model than the current 95gr and the old 117gr DTAC.

I have a box of them I planned to use with a 6.5 Grendel but have needed to build a load with them yet.

Ok then, would you rather use a 95gr TMK in a 6 ARC or a 107 TMK in 6.5 Grendel? Both are somewhat light for caliber.Assuredly, the Grendel bullet.

Great buck! Really unique character on that right antler.View attachment 790142
I killed this buck 27 minutes from Sierra’s factory. Maybe we should organize a hunt/visit to tell em all how we feel.
Believing that certain match bullets don’t work for big game is like believing the food pyramid is the healthiest way to eat. Gotta trust the evidence you can see not what some organization with possible alterior motives says.
6ARC is what 6.5 Grendel wishes it was.Ok then, would you rather use a 95gr TMK in a 6 ARC or a 107 TMK in 6.5 Grendel? Both are somewhat light for caliber.
I’ll fire an email off. What I was told was that they did a run of the 107 TMK in 6mm. But that they didn’t sell. One tech said they were never marketed and the sales guy said “at the time we had more economically viable projects”. So I got the impression they were never introduced to market, but were an R&D project.
The tech explained that he personally shot all of the ones he had from that run until he ran out and loved them, has been harping on them to make it again. He did say he personally thought 1:8” twist was a tad light for them and liked his 1:7” twist better.
So yes it was in 6mm and yes they still have the tooling to do a run, it was suggested on the side that pushing a 6mm 107 TMK might be the best way to get the ball rolling as it has the least time/effort expenditure to test the waters.
Apologies if I wasn’t as clear as I could’ve been earlier.
