Just got it last week. Sold my manners PH and bought the pro pack folder off LRH forum.

FYI, there is heavy bolt interference with an Origin action and stock. Don’t get one if you’re scared of a dremel lol

I’ve certainly been enjoying mine. 18” barrel is breaking in nicely:

107 TMK at 2757fps
And 116 TMK at 2673fps.
Really happy with the consistency so far from this cartridge.

This is still fire forming virgin alpha brass. Can’t beat it. My want for a creedmoor is very low.

the GT case size is just so forgiving, both 22 and 6mm.

Yeah it really is pretty easy to load for, any decent bullet and Varget and you’ve got a shooter.

What’s the go-to powder for a 22GT with say an 80 or 88 ELDM?

4350 has been my go to for 80s.

I can’t help but wonder if Varget would be as fruitful as it is in the 6mm. I’m having a barrel spun up in 22GT soon and will see what I can squeeze out.

My 6gt is running 2820 with 109s currently but barrel has not sped up yet either.

I think it would be too fast for the heavy bullets. I’ve seen people use it for 55-60 grain bullets though. There’s a pretty good facebook group for the 22 GT as well

Interesting. I have not looked into the load data in depth yet so good to know.

This is pretty typical for me. 20" Bartlein, 33.3gr Varget.

Love my 22" 6gt, easiest cartridge I've ever loaded for by a long shot. 33 grains of n150 or varget with 105's and alpha brass. I might actually consider it boring, no load work, no recoil, tiny groups.... But damn it'll make you smile.

I just ordered some brass and dies to load some dummy rounds and see if I can get it to feed in a short action pushfeed model 70.

Worse case scenario I’ll throw a barrel on one of my tikkas and roll with it that way, but it would be pretty neat if I could get the M70 to work.

I called GA precision and they said it might work, just don’t count it, which is fine with me. If it works awesome, if not then a tikka will be stripped of its current barrel.

Dashers are great but with the GT getting factory support on the horizon I'd expect to see the GT support grow. We should see Berger ammo in the future in addition to Hornady.

I’ll probably still have a dasher at some point, but GT has my attention right now.

And having more people back it makes it seem like a choice worth pursuing

Been eyeing the GT for a while and finally pulled the trigger on Preferred in 22GT. GT sure seems to sit in the cartridge sweet spot to me
