Not exactly a hunting mag, but I bought a gray ops Dasher mag a couple months ago. It was hard to stomach the cost but I have to say it is buttery smooth. So smooth that sometimes I have to double check that a round actually chambered. If they made a hunting mag I'd probably buy it.

Vs 0.120" freebore? 10 thou is noise.

There's an alpha 0.154' freebore reamer that might be a noticeable change.

Also seeing different reamer prints for different brass. How do I know which Fl sizing die will work for one or the other?

When I get home can show you what a 116 looks like in a 120fb.

I’d guess you want the 154 freebore though

Honestly I don’t think the 116 is going to be worth the squeeze in the dasher.

I was doing some reading and wondering this myself. When the time got closer to putting parts together I was gonna ask @Lawnboi to talk to me like I was 5yrs old and get me straightened out

The g7 difference between the 107tmk and the new 116 is around 10 points. If the 107tmk is moving 50-60fps faster than the 116 that bc advantage is gone. The 107tmk has a very short bearing, 30k less than a 105 hybrid. This bullet will be a fast mover.

Plus the tmk upset at lower velocity threshold VS most bullets, with such a minimal bc difference, the faster muzzle velocity is going to extend terminal range.

My dasher is a .104” freebore and shoots 87vmax, 95tmk, 103eldx, and 108eldm all well. All under 2.45” oal length too- which makes the howa mini dasher work well.

I need to measure Up the 107’s to see if they’d fit right. 116’s are definitely going to chew up too much case.

I played around with one of @pods8 (Rugged Stitching) magazines with a GT. The GT required filing the shoulder stops, where the Dasher wouldn't. After that, it fed without malfunction for the next ~50 cycles or so while playing around with it. The GT had some issues feeding from an M+ factory mag, those issues were eliminated with his printed magazine.
If I end up deciding to chamber a Dasher on a Tikka, I'll try his magazines before going to an AICS setup.

Is there a reasonable expectation of 2800 FPS in an 18" barrel with the 116s, or is that asking too much?

I think you wont be disappointed with the GT and the 107s. Mine shoots 95s-109s stupid good.

Probably the difference between M and M+ magazines. I didn't have a standard M to try.

IRRC you aren’t the only person to have issue with the GT in m+ mags but that’s going of memory and I’ve slept since I read it.

Probably the slightly shorter feed lips relative to the length of the case body.
