6 arc or 22arc and 25 cred

I love my Howa mini 6dasher 16” shooting 108’s at 2700 and 95’s pushing 2800.

Whole package scoped and suppressed at 7lbs and compact.

What's your bullet and fps? A quick calculation with Hornady load data using the 108eldm and 123 eldm the 6.5 grendel crosses 1800fps at 500 and the 6 arc at 675 for my elevation etc. At 400yard the arc still has less wind drift

Good illustration of how "better ballistics" means different things to different people. I recall when drop and energy used to be the thing i'd look at and now I hardly look at them. Seems you would prefer to look at wind drift and velocity retention (me too).

Your post is what gave me the idea. Can't run suppressors here so I went with a 20" barrel for some more velocity and still being handy in thick bush for moose/elk

I think drop is still relevant for must hunting circumstances. Especially where we hunt here in alberta most of our shots are fast and submit 300yrds. I walk around with my turret dialed to 250yrds. Gives me a trajectory -3.14 inch at 150 and +4.26 at 300. When comparing cartridges and picking the dasher I was looking at wind drift, the minimum velocity threshold to get past a range i comfortable shooting (600yrds) and minimum recoil.

Agree, drop still matters but a guy can basically know how various options will compare at hunting distances just by knowing muzzle velocity.
