"Light" how? Seriously? In my opinion, the 6.5 PRC is a great deer and Antelope caliber, but a little light for Elk. It does kill Elk, but 300yds would be the max for me in good weather. With Elk, bigger is better.

Do you know why it's not suitable in "timber"?Im a terrible smart ass.
I'm presuming off angles and small shot windows so a bigger bullet or one that has a longer wound channel can more ethically kill in less ideal situations. Seen my dad do it with his 300wm, something I wouldnt try with my 270 or 6.5.Do you know why it's not suitable in "timber"?
You would think you would want a smaller bullet for a small window. It would fit better than a larger bullet.I'm presuming off angles and small shot windows so a bigger bullet or one that has a longer wound channel can more ethically kill in less ideal situations. If you’re going to promote a theory, it should be one you actually believe to be true. Your words not mine.I'm presuming off angles and small shot windows so a bigger bullet or one that has a longer wound channel can more ethically kill in less ideal situations. I stand behind those words. If you’re going to promote a theory, it should be you one actually believe to be true. Your words not mine.
