6.5 Creedmore

What's your use case?

I bought one this winter. I wanted lower recoil than a 308/270, very widely available factory ammo. Sufficient performance for any north American game animal out to 600-700 yards. It checks those boxes and is a round that is generally easy to shoot well. I dont think its better than some of the fast 6s but the ammo is absolutely everywhere which was a condition for this purchase.

It's a fine cartridge. It's not as good as it's biggest fan bois will claim. It's not as bad as it's biggest haters will claim.

Recoil is minimal. Ammunition is plentiful. Easy to load for. Hits a nice balance of performance and barrel life so you can practice with it in the off-season.
