6.5 cm ammo options.

140 ELDMs for hunting and 140 Sabres for practice - both share a zero for me at 100. I might play with the 147s but dont want to find out I like them better and have to track down an identical hunting ammo.

Once I shoot through my current supply it will likely be re-barreled to a 6cm anyway.

It’s fun hobby if you like to tinker and have the space/time, but the value is diminishing every year. Cost and availability of reloading components is a big issue, and high quality ammo seems to be much more readily available. Unless you are hyper focused on accuracy or shoot something unique I’m not sure it’s worth jumping in to anymore.
Thank you for the information. I might not venture into it then, I'm not a doing shooting competitions or anything of that matter. I do like the aspect of being able to make ammo if it's never on the shelf in the future.

In my opinion, this only makes sense if you are loading a rare or obsolete cartridge. My family got into reloading because my dad bought a .50-70 Government. We’ve dumped thousands of dollars into additional components since then. And god knows how many hours…

Don’t get me wrong, I like reloading, but it’s not a cost saving measure unless your time has no value.

PS - during the worst shortages, it was generally easier to come by loaded ammo than reloading components. So, unless you are prepared to sink thousands of dollars into components, it doesn't save you anything in a shortage. For commonly available hunting cartridges, I would probably be better off purchasing 1000 rounds of factory ammo, then buying another 500 rounds every time I fired off 500 rounds than I would reloading it.
