To help put ages in perspective for the drive: 65, 49, 43, 20, 19. Yes I have a brother almost same age as my son. My dad finally figured out what was causing kids.
Let the older guys have edge seats and make the young'uns alternate in the middle. I did it several times on trips with my dad, brother, grandpa and uncle when I was in my late teens/early twenties. Granted, we're all pretty easy going and get along well with each other.

In college, 5 of us rode cross country in a Jeep......

all that I'm going to say is that plane tickets are cheap right now and even if they weren't, after the first day they would be!!!!!

I’d go for it. I’ve done several 20+hr trips in a ‘94 extended cab z71 with my family and I wouldn’t trade those memories for anything.

Will it be comfortable? No
Will everyone get pissy at some point? Probably
Will you ever get to spend that much time with loved ones again? Maybe, maybe not.

I’d say go for it.

My uncles dad ate nothing but tuna wrapped in tortillas last year for a week and punished from Colorado back to S.C. I‘m still laughing about right now.

I did 20hrs with 4 good buddies, it wasn’t bad other then I drove most of it while they slept, drove through a rain storm that came down so hard you couldn’t see 5ft in front of the pickup and through an actual tornado, watched a semi flip from wind and a trampoline fly over vehicles, otherwise it wasn’t bad.

Assuming this is to go on an elk hunt? If so, There is no way I could fit all the other gear for 5 guys in one vehicle. Seems like I always fill up the bed back seat and passenger seat in my truck going solo!

My dad did 3 in a Ford ranger regular cab to northern BC, like 50 hs drive time. It CAN be done.

I once rode for 10 hours in the back of my buddies extended cab Ford Ranger for a hunting trip. And I had all the gear piled on top of me. Honestly we were in college and I was the short guy so I got stuck in the back. The things we do to shoot stuff.

Another thing to consider if this is a hunt, are you going to have enough room to bring back whatever you may kill? I’d go 2 vehicles like others have said. You may want to bring a few tools along Incase of mechanical troubles, anymore if we go on A trip I always bring the Milwaukee impact wrench.

The ride out will be ok- excitement for the hunt etc. The ride back will be a bit miserable though.

Sounds like a good time! Plenty of excitement to keep you all going on the way there and then plenty of time to get the lies straight on the way back! Do it and enjoy!

Has anyone road 24+ hours with 5 guys in the truck. I have done 26 hours with 2 adults and 2 13 yr old boys, but wandering how it went with 5 guys. Truck is a crewcab f250, and we drive straight through. Dad, brother, son, and brotherinlaw???

Check out flights. Amazingly cheap right now.

Brought back funny memories of conversion Van's. Those things were the lap of luxury!
