We do the drive every year. 3 is perfect, 4 is doable, 5 is out of the question.
Nope, I'm laughing along too, rokslide has turned seriously funny what with this and the corona virus memes thread. Also, the threads where some first time elk hunter is going to backpack in 5 to 7 miles, those make me laugh thinking of the reckoning that is coming.Am I the only one finding this thread hilarious?
Let the older guys have edge seats and make the young'uns alternate in the middle. I did it several times on trips with my dad, brother, grandpa and uncle when I was in my late teens/early twenties. Granted, we're all pretty easy going and get along well with each other. To help put ages in perspective for the drive: 65, 49, 43, 20, 19. Yes I have a brother almost same age as my son. My dad finally figured out what was causing kids.
Mule deer hunt. Only 3 deer hunters. 2 are fishing and shooting small game.Assuming this is to go on an elk hunt? If so, There is no way I could fit all the other gear for 5 guys in one vehicle. Seems like I always fill up the bed back seat and passenger seat in my truck going solo!
You can’t cheat the mountain

Has anyone road 24+ hours with 5 guys in the truck. I have done 26 hours with 2 adults and 2 13 yr old boys, but wandering how it went with 5 guys. Truck is a crewcab f250, and we drive straight through. Dad, brother, son, and brotherinlaw???
Brought back funny memories of conversion Van's. Those things were the lap of luxury! Most uncomfortable trip to my recollection was 6 people in an 85 Chevy Monte Carlo ss one of which was in a car seat..for two days straight...three quarters of the drive home my father detoured over an hour cuz he got word about a vehicle he was interested in...after 5 hours at a Chevy dealer we left in a new fulsize raised roof converson van...lol sometimes misery causes positive change...god my dad was a cheap man lol
