Most of the pigs I shoot are inside of 50 yds , so I usually just go through both shoulders with great results. It works really good with the big pigs if they are quartered to me with the head down and then I pop them in the neck straight into the vitals. I don't think I have ever aimed directly at the head on the 1st shot . I'm in the elimination mode and the primary goal is to put lead in them and once they're down I will put one in the head. I do see the best performance from the 55 gr. inside of 100 yds. on the bigger ones. Like I said I'm in the elimination mode but it will get your heart racing to slip in to 25 or 30 yds and whack 4 pigs with 6 shots in a peanut field 2 o'clock in the morning on a moonless night.@Roadmaster02 you mostly head shooting them or are you getting good terminal performance on vitals?
