This is from my own experience and now what I have narrowed my collection down to. Now I currently only hunt with a 6mm ARC and still have a .270 Winchester and 6.5 Grendel in the safe. With that said, that is after using almost everything you can think, 300 ultra mag .270, 30-06, .308, .260, .277 Wolverine, 300 blackout, ,243 Winchester, 6.5 Grendel, 6mm ARC, 50 cal muzzleloaders, 45 cal muzzleloaders, shotguns, etc.
I've used the following bullets but forgot the weight so bare with me.
.243 cal: SSTs. ELDMs, Gameking HPBT, Interlock
.264 cal: ELDM, ELD-VT
.277 cal: SST, Interlock, Power-Point, Deer Season XP, Federal Fusion, Remingtion RN-SP, Speer Hot-Cor, Game Kings
30 cal: SST, Interlock, Corelokt, Power-Point, TTSX, TAC-TX, Speer Hot-Cor, AMAX, GameKing, Fusion, SMKs
So far, my favorite hunting bullets have now become the ELDM for a standard cup and core. For a bonded bullet, 100% the Federal Fusion. For some odd reason the terminal performance is a lot like a cup and core but penetrates deep like a bonded bullet. Monos, I just don't like them at all. Eventually, I'll probably add a 25CM like weight backcountry hunting build but until then the 6mm ARC and my .270 has me covered on almost everything.
