$40 foodsaver w/ 70bags or $60 pro unit

I'm interested in what others think as well. I just looked briefly but it looks like the pro unit is built more for consecutive use (25 times in a row). Makes me wonder how many the regular unit can do.

Which one are you leaning towards pods8?

I have a V2222 that is 7yrs old that looks like the blue/yellow. When I am making bags off a 50' roll I get 12-15 consecutive seals before it taps out to cool down (thus I usually make a pile of certain size bags for ground meat prior to grinding/packing). I pondered myself and almost got the pro but figured with my current one and another unit (plus 70bags I don't need to premake) the $40 deal twisted my arm. If starting with just one unit the pro might be my choice. But as noted I will have two at my disposal which is plenty for my usually solo butchering sessions.

I bought another since as noted my current is 7yrs old and a fair bit of use so I feel like I am on bonus time with it. ;)

Yep, I've got the V2222 as well as it has performed like a champ. It's definitely not commercial grade but it works fine for fairly large batches of sealing when I'm packaging up some BBQ leftovers and other big bulk meals.

Was this a 1 day deal? I'm seeing the The FoodSaver® V2255 Vacuum Sealing System - Yellow for 119.99
