For the Seekins fans other then price and weight any first hand opinions on the Havak PH2? I kind of like the longer barrel and the Remington footprint.
I have the ph2 in a 300prc. I like the stock, it fits me well, the palm swell and vertical grip are nice. Mine has a 26” barrel, I don’t mind it at all. I put a 4 port ti pro brake on it and can spot my impacts. The magazine is secure and doesn’t rattle.

My only dislikes are it didn’t come with a picatinny rail and it requires you to use the seekins magazines.

My Dad's PH1 is awesome. Well balanced, easy to carry rifle. If I buy a 7PRC I plan on it being a Seekins PH2.

Pic rail for the stock or for your optic? Pretty sure they all come standard with the pic rail for your optic.... I had to add a rail for my stock to mount a bipod. Took 5 min or so to do.

Op - I'm in the Seekins camp as well. Had a PH1 in 6 CM that shot very well. I had another 6 CM custom built for thermal use, so I sold the PH1. I picked up an Element in 6.5 PRC this summer and it's been a shooter as well. I went Element for the shorter barrel.

Well, if it's a CA they will make it right and you won't have to search further. I have 2 of them in FFT TI, in 308 Win and 7PRC and both shoot really well, especially that 308 with 1/2" groupings with factory Federal blue box and a hair bigger with factory Barnes in 130 and 150gr. The 7PRC does 3/4" with factory eld-m and eld-x but both will do better with some more break-in as each was only shot about 30-40 rounds during that break-in. Can't speak to Fierce but CA has a reputation for resolving issues including a new barrel if necessary. Hopefully the issue gets resolved to your satisfaction. My next rifle will be a Savage Ultra-Lightweight Elite folder in either 6.5PRC or 300WSM. Lots to like about that model. I looked at Seekins, too heavy/bulky for my liking.

Pic rail for the stock. Love that the action came with an integrated 20moa rail.

Longway...this does not mean they make shit rifles, only that if there does happen to be a problem they make it right. A reputation of customer satisfaction vs a reputation of ignoring the client. The former is what we want in any company making anything. Go ahead, tell me any other rifle building company producing in volume (not your 7K rifle custom guy) that does not have issues with some of their rifles that the client isn't happy with. If they make it right, why fret?

They were very friendly on the phone and asked me all the normal stuff, torque, what ammo, etc. so we will see when they respond and after I get the rifle back. It is the worst shooting rifle I have ever owned, but very nice fit and feel so hopefully they can find something wrong and correct it.

I don't think I'd buy a 7 PRC. It's unclear if they'll ever work out the Hornady ammo issues which is a shame.

That being said, most of the rifles are a tradeoff. I'd probably lean toward the one that I like the looks the most or which action/barrel combination I've liked as long as the barrel is threaded.

Out of curiosity, what are the Hornady ammo issues?

If the OP reloads, quality brass from ADG and Peterson is available.

not familiar with the factory rifles in 7prc as i'm a lefty and there are few if any. i bought a tikka magnum action, screwed on a proof carbon prefit and put that in a pure precision altitude stock. haven't shot it much yet but a pretty nice rifle. pretty easy "build" esp if you get the action and don't have to get the factory barrel off.

I went with the savage ultralight elite. Wanted the hunt26 and 20” barrel, no hassle. Im kind of disappointed in the Hornady thing but apparently federal is as hot as it should be. I don’t have a chrono, just what I’ve read.
