375h&h elk bullet?

Recently inherited a beautiful rem700 in 375h&h. Looking for bullet suggestions. Cutting edge 250gr maximus is one in considering.

My 375 H&H likes 270 Barnes which works well on plains game about the same size as elk size. Have fun and enjoy.

400 for most part. We live in canyon country so 600 at most

My 375 H&H likes the Speer 235gr hotcore. I normally shoot 300gr partition, but the gun shoots the Speers into little groups.

Range is gonna be important here. Based on velocities you get at different ranges your bullet may not perform adequately. Check the bullet profile and compare the expansion properties at different velocities and choose that way.
