What bullet/velocity? That is a lot more damage than I would suspect for a 270+ grain bullet.

That surprises me. I wouldn’t have thought that bullet would open that violently on something the size of a deer.

I've had much less damage, but I have used the tsx and accubond only.

I did shoot a bear at 10 feet and the exit was messy....but I sent most of two vertebrae into orbit on the way through.

This kind of surprises me, because I’ve killed a bunch of deer and pigs with both 9.3x62 and 9.3x74r with much less devastating results. I use 285 gr SP and 250 gr Accubond bullets.

Cannot use a sample size of one. I used to use a 338 Win with a 160g Barnes X at 3400+ FPS. I had everything from two pencil holes to one deer I gutted only thru the exit hole between the last rib and hind leg.
