Did they extend it because of a system failure? That I could understand and agree with, but just to do it because people complained that "they" missed the deadline doesn't seem right.

Yes the website mysteriously crashed on the last day or some bs. Either way it improved my odds to hunt otc in a state to remain nameless.

Hunting public picked up that drum and beat it until each WMA parking lot in my area was covered in their wanna be YouTube famous goo. Not sure if the same jizz has hit the Western hunting or not, but between them and the flu, I don’t recognize my neck of the turkey woods. Seriously guys smash that like button and subscribe to the channel.

I'm SO glad I'm cashing all my points out over the next couple years. I will be done hunting the west then, which I hate, but I don't like to fight the crowds. Sad days

Limited entry units. It most cases though, good luck chasing point creep.

I have hunted an OTC spot in Colorado the last few years and only bumped into one other individual. I get deep in the back country and am in plenty of elk. If you do some research you’ll be able to figure it out.

Hint: steeper, thicker, nastier country tends to have less hunters.

If you’re looking for a place to hunt do a google search for the unit, if you get little to no results that is the place that won’t be crowded. Then when you kill something there don’t go tell everyone or it will not remain as such.

Great hint , I have had several spots like that, which over the last 5 years have been blow up. Don’t take you spot for granted, but be ready for the day when you are the 16th truck at the trailhead and hopefully you have other spots to check
