338 lapua imp vs laupa imp +p

Hey, So im getting a 338 lapua imp build and going back and forth on doing the +p on it or not. It will be a 25-26” barrel. What everyone, thoughts on going to the +p? This will be a elk rifle. Shooting 300 berger mayne 285 eldm

There’s some more info over on long range only about this exact setup comparison, or at least real close. With a 26” barrel and N570 I bet you’ll get close to 3000fps with improved and +p. Lots of guys have gone +p over there and enjoyed it. Like anything though, horsepower comes at a cost so as long as you go into the build with that mentality, make it a hot rod especially for hunting.

My 24” non +p is 2825fps, not pushing it hard with 300 otms.
