308 winchester , 110 gr. Mono's and 3400 fps

Of course these bullets are designed for the 300 Blackout but......they are still mono's. Seems like it would be an effective flat shooting rifle with light recoil, fragmentation and penetration all rolled into one. Here is a video made a few years ago.

Mono bullets work great but absolutely need to have very high initial velocity to be good at distance OR limit yourself to impact velocity of ~2200 fps

Generally it seems that manufacturers say 1800 fps, but the tips of the bullets below 2000 fps are opened but just barely. to the points its not doing too terribley much for tissue damage

I’ve been curious about them too. I’m sure they’d work fine. I load my kids’ .308 with 130 grain ttsx’s at about 2750. Very little recoil and performance on deer and prongalope has been great out to 200 yards.

These bullets are designed for the 300 Blackout and can be pushed pretty fast from a 308 case. So these do open at 1800 fps. Not that it matters as velocity stays above 1900 fps pretty far out there.
