300 WSM elk bullet

"180 Accubond
180 Partition
165 Partition"

I have born witness to a dump truck full of big game taken with those bullets, out of a variety of cartridges. Hard to argue with success.

Not designed to be incredible performers on paper. They flat perform inside of critters.

+1 on the 180gr partitions. My 300WSM loves them. I'm over 1500 ftlbs of energy to 550 yards. I will gladly trade the lower BC for the terminal performance of the partition.

I have a 300 Sherman Max (300 WSM on steroids) And it absolutely loves 208 ELDM's. G1 BC of .690, heavy for caliber and create really good wounds on the 4 elk, 1 deer, and 2 bears I have used it on. May be worth a look at.

I have some 175 TMK loaded up for mine but have yet to do any load development with them yet.
Have no doubt that they will do major damage to whatever they hit.

You know what also has a .69x G1… the 147 eldm from a 6.5manbun ;)

just shot 3 blacktails with 208eldms last week. Carnage. Maybe 18” of penetration, but very destructive.

The benefit of the 165 copper is a little speed. I've used 165 ttsx and 180 accubonds in a 300 wsm on elk both work great. 180 partitions in other 30 cal can't go wrong. Worked up a load with 180 ttsx but never ended up hunting with it, I'm sure it would work great too it grouped well. Sticking with 180 ABs for now, if I go back to mono I'll try the 175 lrx

Edit, you meant 165 pt, I don't see any benefit personally, I'd go 180 pt, but 30 cals are easy pick one you like and go with it
