I have a Fierce CT Rage that im thinking about putting a can on. I currently have the fierce side port muzzle brake on it and am not super impressed with the amount of recoil im still getting. I know its a lot to ask of an ultralight magnum caliber, but im hoping to tame it down a little more. Ive heard that suppressors can reduce recoil, but im not sure if they can reduce more than or equal to a muzzle brake. I also wonder if doing a radial brake like what christenson makes would be a good idea.

As far as suppressors on magnum cartridges, i was looking at the AB Raptor... anybody have experience with them? The reflex that goes over the barrel seems interesting... not sure if its a gimmick or not. I would love to be able to take a shot without earplugs when hunting and not get my bell rung.

There is only one right answer.

Look at the OG L by Unknown. It is great on my 7 short mag, but who knows about RUM.

Radial brakes do very little recoil reduction but are excellent at dispersing dirt into the atmosphere.

An aggressive side port brake is the best way to reduce recoil. It also creates an unbearable blast wave that shakes your brain.
