Which would you choose for a light weight hunting rifle?

For lightweight? Neither. Either of those on a 5lb gun would be unpleasant and unless you shoot A LOT, not accurate enough to need the extra range those rounds buy you.

Define just how light you're talking. I see 30Nos brass all the time. Haven't seen 300PRC in forever

300 PRC if you don't reload. If you do reload the 30 Nosler is a better case design if throated like a 300 PRC.

Get a good brake if your going lightweight you will need it.

Ah, that's not really that light. I think you need to really look at the very nuanced differences between them and figure out what small difference matters more for what you'll use it for.

But 300PRC for sure if you don't reload.
