What does every one think the best ammo out of a 30-30 for hunting coyote? I have a 30.06, but where I go hunting in KY I prefer the 30-30. Just didnt know if anyone had used much other than the remingtion 150 or 170 grain. Thanks in advance.

Are you wanting to save the pelts? If not I’ve had quite good luck with some 160 leveroution for both deer and coyotes. Coyotes typically don’t take another step.

A guy I used to hunt with in NM loaded 110gr JHPs over A2520, was getting around 2800 in a 26" barrel. Started with Speer 1835s but switched to some bulk JSPs intended for 30 Carbine. Depending on your bore you could probably get away with using 32ACP bullets to get lighter and faster. Otherwise you can single load your pick of spire pointed 30 cal varmint bullets

It doesn’t matter much but if you want to save pelts the 170s make make a smaller hole
