Hey man, I’m just reporting the facts...you know, 1+1= 2 and all that; objective.

that said, let the subjectivity commence!!

I can’t listen to one person talk for 3 minutes. Let alone 3 hours! How in the heck do people have the patience for this?

I dislike the current trend of media going long. Podcasts are an hour+. Hell, even “good” YouTube content is going 25-30 min+. I ain’t got time for that when I watch hunting flicks. I will purposely scroll and only watch vids that are less than 10 min. Otherwise it’s just too much meaningless chatter in the pickup, around camp, bla, bla, bla. And don’t get me started on the ads nowadays. I can’t watch a 30 min video with 6-8 ads sprinkled throughout.

I honestly think a lot of these internet famous guys producing content would benefit from the #1 rule of public speaking! Less is more! Have a good intro and a good closing, but keep those two close together!

Agreed. I’ve found a few other hunting podcasts that are much shorter around 45 minutes that I listen to way more often than meat eater anymore. I just don’t have 3 hours to listen and if I try and pick it up later I always forget what the first half was about.

I won't click on a porn video under 10 minutes, and I'm in a hurry to finish "consuming" that. Although I'll agree with you about the ads....

I'll happily listen to 3hrs or more of content I'm interested in. I don't even feel ashamed when I finish a podcast...usually.

I have a 2 hour commute for work and then its 20 minutes from home to the freeway anywhere we go as well as driving many hours to scout hunt work out ride mules and fish so I tend to have more time than there are podcasts. Listening to one at work right now.

Bingo. You have a commute, you have a different opinion. I listen to loads of podcasts. Take away my commute and I barely care they exist.

How many times was the word nuance used? I'd wager enough for a decent drinking game.

I don’t make it through every Meateater podcast but I still enjoy the majority. I played episode 246 on the Fenn treasure while I cleaned up after my last hunt today. I was captivated for how ever long it lasted. I am impressed that he still had good ones after 250 episodes. If I tried to make a podcast I would be out of interesting material after thirty minutes. I will put the Rogan episode on my list. I have enjoyed the earlier ones.
