3/4 Ton AT Truck Tire?

So how does everyone feel about oversize tires?

I am considering sizing up this time. A little more money but more clearance and a better look. Stock just looks tiny on this vehicle.

Since this is a 3/4 ton thread, do you pull a gooseneck, or bumper pull. I pull a fifth wheel, so I’m opposed to sizing up, because whatever height my truck would gain from oversizing, I don’t want the rear of my fifth wheel be more inclined to drag, in certain places.

Holy cats I'm glad I asked. I have a 2017 that's really tall already and clearance with our fifth wheel is a concern. Never thought about that. Back to stock.

Toyo AT3s, but no matter what you buy, buy only the load rating you need.

I’m running my second set of Goodyear ultra terrain ATs on a 2500 megacab. Had over 55,000 miles on my first set. Never found a condition that I was dissatisfied with them. If I remember this model of tire is specific to discount tire

These have lasted the longest for me.

Ride well, balance well and last. Very good tires.

Thanks for all the replies. I ended up going with the KO3s. Almost went with the Coopers but the price difference was slim and I like the look of the BFGs.

What has been your take/opinion on them so far? (I'm looking to get new tires on my 3/4 gas and have read through this post 4-5 time trying to narrow it down!) Thanks.

I got 50k on my OEM set of Duratracks...so I put a second set on my 7.3 gas F250....I dont think you can do much better on 3/4 ton.

I have a set of duratracs that are near 50K miles. I have a crew cab dmax. Still good snow performance. I'll probably replace them in 2 years since I only run them during the winter

I put the Cooper Strongholds on my truck a couple weeks ago. Haven't even had the truck aligned and ran over a deer antler the dogs pulled out into the yard. Maybe 15 miles on it.

Discount tires replaced it. That warranty certificate worked this time.

I have about 35,000 miles on a set of Kenda Klever RT's. So far so good. I think they're a little louder than when they were new, but it's hard to say for sure. They're wearing evenly, and I'm expecting to get 50,000ish miles out of them. That's pretty good for a cheap tire on a heavy truck.

There a little more than AT but the Toyo MTs have been phenomenal and last a long time on my f350

I love My discover ATP , they have served me well for years on multiple vehicles . I actually get the mileage they advertise! Around 50,000

Quick input - I just put KO3s on my F250 gas replacing the stock Michelin LTX ATs. Granted the stock tires had 70,000 miles on them, the ride of the KO3s is better and no noticeable noise difference.

Im from California… we never get any rain haha. I work in farming and the tire does great in mud

Man. Stock Duratracs on Tremors absolutely SUCK. Wait until you get some miles on them. Horrible in ice and snow and got ridiculously loud.


I replaced the Duratracs on my F350 Tremor at 18k. I went with Yokohama AT XD in the stock size as a winter tire but now having them on there going into the spring I kind of love them for everything. They are a little loud but they are phenomenal in the ice and snow, tough as anything, and give stupid good traction in the dirt. I wish they made them in 37x12.50s.

For sure. I’m in South Carolina. They are amazing in clay and mud, but a death trap in the rain. I could spin them in 3-6 gear with the g56 not even beating on it.

So funny, that’s one of my favorite tires for snow and rain. I’ve put over 70k on each set on the wife’s 4 runner and normally get over 50k on a load range e on the Cummins. Ya they get loud but they wear like iron.

I think I’m either going with the falken at4 next set or the Toyo ct. I got 31k on these set of nittos and they will be the last set of nittos I ever buy, junk.
