How so? And I thought the best way to be immunized from something was to actually get the virus and when recovered your body had a built-in natural immunity?

I had the two shot series. I’m not sure which one was worse. The first one was terrible but I also got my flu shot and Covid booster at the same time. The second one was also terrible. Glad they are done.

What is the recovery rate from the shingles? Are you saying shingles is killing people?

My grandpa got shingles. He said they were absolutely miserable.

I had a little bout of shingles in my early /mid 30s. Smaller circle on my left side. I don't remember how painful it was now. But after reading some of this I might look into the vaccine .

I'm posting on this because a friend of mine died from the Delta variant of Covid. Possibly incidental to that is he had refused the Covid vaccine after having a bad reaction to the first dose of shingles vaccine a year or so earlier.

The reality is most vaccines are good for most people and vaccines have prevented much misery compared to eons of human history before.

On the other hand, adverse reaction responses to vaccines do occur and vary both by specific vaccine, and person to person. Some of us are the unlucky few per million who have had very severe adverse reactions to a vaccine.

If anyone is unsure about taking any vaccine, before deciding consider getting medical advice from a physician who has actually treated patients who have had severe adverse reactions to a vaccine. The challenge to that is not many physicians have...simply because it is such a rare occurrence.

Vaccines have a shorter recovery time than the disease...
I had a friend that survived polio but never fully recovered... I consider myself fortunate to get the vaccine and not the disease

I have a friend who is a cancer survivor with MCS, and also has other allergies that date from childhood. She takes her vaccines in her allergist's office. It gives her some peace of mind and reduces the likelihood of an ER visit in the event something does go sideways.

No shots for me. I just don’t trust the pharmaceutical or medical “experts” anymore after all the lies they told us about the Covid “vaccines”.

. My profession allows me to have a very large circle of personal acquaintances. Far more than most. East coast to Midwest to gulf coast.
EVERYONE that I know that died from the Rona, had the shot.
Since that debacle , I’ve sworn off any vac. Never had the flu shot and won’t ever.
I was skeptical that the truth would ever be revealed. But it’s looking like the truth may come out.

Being in a physician's office is wise to get a vaccine for those at risk for immediate allergic reactions (e.g., anaphylaxis).

Other extremely rare very scary severe neurological adverse reactions to some vaccines take time (typically days to weeks) to develop...for example Guillain-Barre Syndrome, Transverse Myelitis, Multiple Sclerosis, etc. By the time it is recognized, unfortunately much damage is already done. With kids it sometimes happens as Acute Disseminated Encephalomyelitis (ADEM). Fortunately these severe adverse neurological response cases in general are extremely rare and not a reason for most people to not get most vaccines.

IIRC Covid vaccine was a mRNA vaccine, shingles vaccine is made with the virus. At least that’s what was explained to me, I may be wrong?
