2kish to spend on a 6mm ARC- what do YOU do?

Or start with one of these instead.
This is exactly what I wanted originally but will 6.5 CM recoil too much to be able to spot trace and such? I shoot a heavier .308 that I'm unable to stay behind reliably. I know a lot of guys can but I'm not that good lol. I assume 6.5 recoil has to be almost identical feeling to a heavier .308 no?

My 6.5 CM Tikka CTR is about 11 lbs with suppressor. With good form I can’t spot trace but at lower magnification on my scope (4-8x) I can still see impact at further yardages. As much as I am a 6 ARC fan, my Tikka 6.5 Creedmoor is my #1 hunting rig. It’s just a great cartridge for deer at all ranges.

There is a huge difference between a br or br based cartridge and a creedmoor of any flavor.

I assumed this, thanks. that's what was keeping me from getting the tikka ace target... as perfect for what I want as it seems, it doesn't have the right chambering available yet. fingers crossed on that in the near future, I guess!

Zermatt origin, Northland 18” sporter contour barrel, and something like an MDT Timbr Chassis.

If you reload and are not worried about buying ammunition, I would go with a 6BR which uses a standard .308 bolt face and allow more options in the future without buying more parts.

This ^^^^

The nice thing about Origin actions is how easy they are to customize. The actions are smooth and reliable.

I’m as big a fan of the br as the next guy, maybe even more. I frikin love 6BR (my 93 shot group of 0.75” at 100m is in the reloading method thread somewhere), but the main issue is feeding from a mag. To be fully reliable, you’ll need to do an AICS bottom metal and grey ops aw br magazines.
