What could you possibly even base a claim as bold as that on? Obsolete? Come on buddy.Zig Zulu 6 image stabilizing binos. Tripods are obsolete with binos now and they will be with spotters very soon.

I am highly intrigued by the claims made by Form about loss of accuracy from tripods (from HBC podcast), but I have yet to see the level of detail required to reproduce the results he has shared. I have personally increased my efficacy shooting from tripods, but would love to try to reproduce his results. Does anyone know the specific details surrounding the shooting exercise he mentioned on the recent HBC podcast?Well, you don’t need them to shoot of off. Don’t just take that from me. . . Form has done deep dives on their short comings compared to other methods.
And if you’ve got image stabilized glass in both the spotter and binos, do you really need a tripod anymore?
I’m happy to leave that weight at home.

I don’t have IS optics, so take my opinion for what its worth…. I could definitely see less of a need for a tripod, and I already don’t carry one archery elk hunting. But it seems like picking apart a hillside for mule deer it would be way harder to grid it out and properly glass every inch with IS binos vs standard glass on a pan head. Just one reason off the top of my head. Or seeing something that you can’t make out if it’s an animal or not, and would like to lock the glass on it for a few minutes. And if you’ve got image stabilized glass in both the spotter and binos, do you really need a tripod anymore?
