Heading to Africa and my featherweight 270 is goin , brain is having a tuga war between taking 130gr Barnes or hornday CX , or a Norma 150 oryx, or anything tough that will stabilize in a 22 inch M70
150gr ablr, 136gr terminal ascent, 129gr lrx, and a 155gr lrx (some people can get it to stabilize and get 3000fps out of it) are all solid.Heading to Africa and my featherweight 270 is goin , brain is having a tuga war between taking 130gr Barnes or hornday CX , or a Norma 150 oryx, or anything tough that will stabilize in a 22 inch M70
I Don’t reload much anymoreMy vote would be either 129 LRX, 130 TTSX or maybe something like a 124 Hammer Hunter, 1-10 twist will stabilize those. Push them fast and they should be good for all the thin-skinned animals.
What a fun trip! That’s a classic rifle as well. That 140 gr Nosler Accubond seems like a good fit for much of what a 270 gets used for, and is available in Nosler ammo. As much as I like the Partition, a few decades of good results with the Accubond, combined with the higher BC make it a safe replacement that shoots a little flatter.I Don’t reload much anymore
You could just pick the one that shoots best since they are all great options. That said I like the Oryx bullet the best of those.Heading to Africa and my featherweight 270 is goin , brain is having a tuga war between taking 130gr Barnes or hornday CX , or a Norma 150 oryx, or anything tough that will stabilize in a 22 inch M70
