26 Years of Failure

Buying a point in CO for moose, sheep, goat is pretty much a scam with how the draw works. Maybe not as bad as WY, but definitely no significant increase in draw odds.

So glad I drew a CO Shiras tag back in the day, and was able to drop out of the game (dropped 15 WY moose points too after wolves cut the numbers in half and points costs went crazy )

Man, I just don't see it that way. For a small fee, why not get your points? I know what you mean about not helping much, but I still buy points. I've drawn two ram tags, one with 3+0, in 2004, and another in 2016. I've had 3 mountain goat tags here since 2001, a bull moose tag, and now a cow moose tag. Sure being a resident helps, but the "system" has been very good to me and I will keep buying the points. I just got my 3rd point this year once again for Bighorns, and am excited for next year, as anything can happen! I really hope to get one more Bighorn tag, then I will commit to deserts, but I'd rather have PPs towards Rockies, vs straight random on the Desert.

Keep in mind, applying for archery on some of the tags (Rams) helps alot.

I guess I didn’t see $100 as a small fee 😂

I guess for a resident it’s a different calculation, and the odds are inherently better anyway. But I left CO 8 years ago so not the same now.
