225 eldm or 212 eldx for elk

Been using 212 eldx in a 300rum. Thinking of switching to the 225 eldm for elk. Who has good results with the eldm and what’s the farthest you have taken game with?

They're a good bullet. Fragment almost immediately at impact and make a large wound channel. Killed an elk a couple bucks with them and would not hesitate to hunt with them again. No long range data though from me with that bullet.

My 7RM has a few elk under its belt at 500yd with 162gr ELD-M bullets. D E D dead. If you handload you could look at the 208 eldm as well for your 30 cal. The 215gr Berger hybrid is also an option worth looking at.
