.223 rebarrel

Is there any downside to rebarrelling a .223 bolt action to a 5.56 or .223 wylde. I have a surplus of 5.56 ammo for plinking, getting reps with this rifle and getting kids into shooting eventually. I will do a fast twist for heavier bullets regardless.
 
Wylde > 556 NATO for your purposes. You can go a little longer on the throat yet than wylde for longer bullets too but it seems like the Wylde works pretty good for something like 75 eldm from what I've seen.

That said, I just ordered a fair bit of 5.56 to put through my tikka 223. I wouldn't put a new barrel on if there aren't other motivations beyond worrying about shooting 556 through a 223.
