I need justification for my 375 UltraLoudenBoomer.
it's a good girlfriend gun, then you can get yourself something a little more practical for hunting black bear... if recoil sensitive, just get a braked 450/400NE.... if not, go with the 600NE... considering they are the "CONUS black death"

XBR and Varget singles available on Brownells right now for you late night folks.

Man their 2lb limit kills it, takes the xbr to like $55/lb, and varget about $10/lb more. Even getting 2 of each they’re still like $55/lb. 🥲

For those that are interested, sportsmans warehouse has T3X superlites in .223 up for order. I just ordered one myself and it should be here the 10th.

Pretty sure you just cost some of the fine folks of rokslide some moneys… 😂

I've been looking for one for months, and of course I find one when I'm about to purchase an nx8 to replace my busted SWFA 1-6. I had to spread some of my pain to the people of rokslide.

Figured I would give a handloading update on my new 223.
I bought a Ruger Ranch 5.56 a few months ago and finally wrangled up all the components to do a load work up.
I loaded up
77gr TMK’s
Nosler Brass
CCI BR-4 primers
8208 XBR
2.260 COAL

I loaded up 5 rounds each at 23.1, 23.3, 23.5, 23.7 and 23.9 grains
23.3, 23.5 and 23.7 shot the best so to confirm I loaded 5 more rounds of each.
All three shot great but I settled on 23.5 grains.
That powder charge was giving me 2640 FPS out of the 16” barrel and excellent accuracy.

Thanks to everyone that has contributed to this thread and for the suggestions on load data. The proof is on the paper! Now to testing on some critters!
