I have a 2021 F250 6.2 gas with just about 100k miles. It has been a solid truck so far. I no longer need a 3/4 ton and would like to downsize (also going through a divorce). I know the G2 Tundra's are bomb proof for the most part, and have no problem with the idea of getting one with 70-80k miles. I realize the minimal hauling capacity and short bed of the Tundra, but like the idea of the reliability as I would keep it to at lease 200K. Looking to make the swap as I am starting to need to put $ back into the F250 - if I start putting the money into it I'd be keeping it for awhile. I don't know what I am trying to ask or say...maybe looking for input / encouragement to make the jump?
Thanks.

just hit 215k on my gen2 tundra! Amazing trucks. I'm hoping 300k+ as I don't think there is a quality made truck right now...maybe the ford with a coyote...maybe.

My 2017 tundra is at 165k miles, I traded my 08 at 245k when the AC blew and I didnt want to pay to replace it.

That said this will be my last half ton unless something changes. I dont like the new Tundras and not excited about the other half tons out there. Once this one is done I will likely go to a SUV and a F250 combo. Might add the SUV sooner to milk the tundra on a little longer, have not decided on that.

I have been real happy with my tundra though and if I could buy a new or nearly new late gen 2 I would consider it. Ones like mine with the 1794 trim package and low miles go for north of $50k though which is hard to swallow.

I recently bought a 2017 Trd off road with 94k miles on it. Yes they are expensive for a used truck. But figured it was the cheapest way to get 150-200k miles from a half ton. To get miles like that from other brands you’d likely have to buy new or very low miles which puts you north of $40-50k. If you do some research Gen 2 tundras have hit the million mile mark for some

Just hit 170k on my 2016 Tundra (pretty sure thats a G2). Agreed, great truck. Bought it new in 2016. No issues at all so far. Original brakes lasted to 100k. Just had to get new pads front and back a few months ago at the 170k mark. Two windshields in the last 10 years. Other than that nothing else had to be done on the truck. Daily driver and hunting truck. Very confident in hitting the 300k+ miles with no issues. Keep up on the routine lubes. Treat her right and she will treat you right.
