Late posting…Nebraska archery bird on day two of the season.
Missed getting a shot on a giant the day before so this one picked a bad day to be a Jake. They flew into the decoys like ducks landing in the X.
8 yards with a Magnus Bullhead.

I filled my 4th tag of the spring on a Kansas bird I have been hunting and watching since 2024. My dad even missed him last year. I closed it out today on an awesome hunt, and was thrilled to see a legitimate inch and a half spur. Cheers, big guy. One tag to go.

Tagged out this morning. Day two of our one bird ohio season. Guess I'll either be buying a Pennsylvania tag or helping someone else fill theirs. I'm fine with either. I'm just thrilled to hunt them regardless of who's on the gun.

I have killed one like that too. Tripped me out. That photo I shared was a private property bird that was at least 5 years old, my wife shot him when she was pregnant. We just have a lot of predators and hiding spots for them. It doesn’t help the gobblers when they play “marco, polo” in the jungle.

Yeah not many toms get the chance to get much age on them out here. With all the predators, it’s a tough place to scratch out a living. I know they’re out there, though, and I’ll keep trying and hoping.

Took 6 years to draw my AZ turkey tag- first ever hunt for turkey also.
I feel like I should have let him go so I could keep hunting - took 10 minutes once I set my decoy up and called .
Found this cool deadhead also .

That looks like a pretty amazing hunt!

Turkey season is done early which is bitter sweet. 8 7/8", 8 3/8" and 8", respectively.

A nice quick hunt this morning! I’m pretty sure I pulled the trigger just before 6AM as the Tom “dominated” my full strut tom decoy. I actually shot him while he was standing on top of the decoy. My son was loving it. He kept laughing and I had to tell him to be quiet lol. Really cool hunt and more memories made!
