2026 SHOT SHOW releases

Please dear Tikka
So sick of waiting...
Also waiting for a Tikka booth update. Then I realized their marketing/sales team probably developed a nefarious plan since they have so much time on their hands, so many hunters already love their rifles. Release all the 6,22,25CM rifles a while after Shot Show so we all gave up hope and bought the leftover inventory of .243s and 6.5s. They know a lot of guys will still go for their new line of creeds even after buying their "last rifle".

Sad but true. Makes for a great aftermarket business in the USA though. Tikka/Berretta/Sako doesn’t need that money, let the small business and gunsmiths in the USA continue to capitalize. Bergara loves it too I’m sure.

I hear you, but we don't really have an option anymore.

In September, I need to buy a new car (my daughter is inheriting mom’s very much used Honda) car for my wife. I am not looking forward to having a car payment again.

If I could buy my daughter a new 1982 Honda Accord (my first car), I would do it in a heartbeat. That car had a bulletproof engine and didn't cost a fortune to buy.
Had a buddy with an 82 Honda Accord. Last I saw him he had 400k miles on it.

Seen an interview with Tract showing their new RF binos. Not much for specs other than some of the features, that it’s running eagle ballistics and should be around the $2k range. Barbourcreek posted it up on their YouTube.

Yeah, these giant companies inevitably get slow and lazy with the river of money pouring in, but in a way it's good, it makes the economy more stable by allowing for those small businesses to grow. Nothing like frustration with existing products to drive innovation and a new business/idea. I'd rather work harder and support the US, scrappy guy then throw my money into the Beretta river every time.

If the giants were faster, they would be more dangerous, and knock out all the local and small businesses, then we get what we wanted in the short term and live in a ghost town. Were I live a gun shop just closed that had a lot of local history and another that's been around since 1938 also looks shaky. Now if I need parts for a certain bow I'd have to drive three hours to get them from an authorized reseller.

Probably depends on demand recognized at different price points?
I pulled the trigger on some 12s. Sounds like the Vortex team really upped their game on the glass quality, the price is going to be about $2200 after the various discounts most people have access too, and rather give those guys my money instead of Sig or a company just having someone in China throw it together for them.

I do wish they were lighter...but if I bought 10s, I would want to carry 15s with me anyhow....try running these and a spotter. I am most excited about being able to ditch the separate ballistics app and range finder in a hunting situation.

Backfire dropped a hunting chassis in his latest video about an hour ago. It's called the Backlight 30oz $849. Looks well thought out and definitely is going to be a player in that segment.

Looks nice… Adjustible LOP (12-15”), bore centerline recoil pad, light, priced below peers..

20 gauge a300 ultima patrol is neat. Not really moved by much else. The new Savages might be interesting. I've always respected them as shooters but never cared for their actions(rough), mags(feeding issues), stocks(heavy AND flimsy) or triggers(not a fan of bladed triggers). I really like that they're offering 22cm, 25cm and 7bc.
