As 2025 closes, I look back and can thankfully say I had a pretty decent year. Completed my first IM 70.3 along with an Olympic.

Now it's time for me to stretch with some new events on the calendar.....

So far I'm signed up/committed for my first 100mi bike ride in May and two 70.3 tris in June. Still need to get a marathon under my belt, but that may not come until 2027 or fall of 2026.

What else does everyone else have on their calendars for 2026 or planning to achieve????

my 2026 goal is to get as ripped as possible. Another goal I have that I’m working towards is in addition to fitness, getting as good at fly fishing as I possibly can, I don’t know if that means balance practice, hand eye coordination etc but that’s a goal for the year.

Between some knee issues and working way too much this summer and fall the latter half of the year saw my fitness fall off more than I'd have liked. Ski season is coming so I'm excited to be out and about a bit more.

Next year's goal is to work less and stay healthy.

Set personal bests in a few areas(strength, steady state cardio). But my running really fell off. Have a 1 and 3 yr old. So hopefully now they r getting a little order. I will be able to resume my morning runs.

Dropped 75lbs in 2025 and made backpack hunting way easier. I hiked all of for years at 240lbs, packed dozens of elk out, 3 bulls in ‘24 alone and the furthest I packed meat for 7 miles. Also backpack hunted in the Rubies and Eagle Caps last fall.

Packed out two bulls and a buck this year and did quite a bit of backpack hunting. I’m currently 165lbs and was between 170-180lbs through hunting season. Getting around is so much easier with the extra weight off.

For 2026 I want to get even more lean and spend do several big backpacking trips this summer scouting some new areas. Hopefully I’ll put a little lean mass on as well but I’m not overly concerned in that department. As long as I can easily pack out 100lbs on my back for hours on end I’m happy with that.

Planning on besting this years 330” bull next fall and killing 2 mature 6 points in the same year with my bow. I should also have 3 archery mule deer tags and an antelope tag, hoping to fill them all with decent animals as well.
