I am thinking of booking a 2026 Ibex hunt with Arpa Marco Polo Ltd and have a few questions for those more informed than I currently am. Does anyone have testimonials more recent than 2020 going with Kairat? Also, what happened with the hunting closure in Kyrgyzstan? I have seen mixed information and my research skills are failing me. Thanks for your time!

Call the USFWS and see if you can do your own paperwork for the CITES tag.

That would be my answer.

Foreign agents and outfitters will save you some money. But if you are importing your goat to the US the rules are strange.

Just got back from Kyrgyzstan. Went with arcqos Safaris, such a great first overseas hunt experience. Strongly recommend. Scored a twister of a Hume argali and a very nice ibex with loads of mass. Logistics were nothing short of “just sit back and worry about hunting”

I went to Kazakhstan with Pro hunt Kazakhstan and was an amazing adventure. I did shoot a smaller ibex then what the area has and they shoot each year but that is hunting. If you end up going ensure you stay hydrated, drink plenty even when you think you need no more water and take your walking sticks with you they will help you a lot. I forgort mine at camp for my ibex hunt but had them for my Siberian roe hunt and man did they help.

Most important thing to take with you is your own horse saddle cushion. Go to a horse riding shop and buy one. They provide them but not as good as you can buy
