Public hunting is hard in TX, definitely interested in KS hunting NC for WT. I’d be interested more in public than a lease. Thanks for the post!

Hoping to draw units 9 & 10 this year, first time hunting Kansas. Any recommendations on where to camp? Trying to stay fairly mobile and feel like a “permanent” campsite would prevent that.

Anyone going to be hunting public land in units 9 or 10? I’m a non-resident coming in from Indiana.

I know of no one hunting land in 8,9, or 10 this year. All good units - you guys need to get out there and put boots on the ground and talk to people in the small towns it seems like I pick up 5 leads on new farms every year doing that - being face to face with someone is important - you can't do everything from a computer I know that's a surprise lol

Kansas is an amazing place but headed in the wrong direction from a wildlife perspective (aren't they all) Public can still be amazing as well, if you put in the miles to find the right acre or two. Smoke em if ya got em cause they'll have all those older deer turned into new p/u trucks soon, only reason hey havent yet is large parcels of private and strict trespass laws.
