I have seen GPS coordinates on depth finders on fishing shows, I don't think they did it on purpose just showing the fish on the graph.

Back when I used to watch YouTube videos, I watched a Wyoming antelope hunting video that just happened to be in the same unit I had a tag for. Zoomed in on their YouTube screen and found the spot they were at by their coordinates, turned out I already had a pin in the general area. More of just confirmation than anything

I watched a video from a well known TV personality. He said “I’m in Western Colorado” and there was a quick pan to his GPS. I found the spot on OnX…. Yeah TV ruins a lot of spots.

Alot of guys trying to get famous on there and giving up a lot of areas. For granted most guys if they scout and put in the research could find the areas. But I do cross reference a lot of background shots with OnX and Spartan Forge and have discovered a lot of areas that guys are filming in.

I’ve only been blocked by a couple people on IG, one was when I sent a dm to a guy asking him to please show less scenery on his elk hunt. I had hunted close to where he was but never the exact drainage and yet I could drop a pin on the exact spot he was showing. The hunting pressure was already skyrocketing in that unit and he was only going to make it worse. Anything to make a buck and not have to have a real job…

You guys all act like there was a never hunter in any unit until YT. If you get off your azz and hike any decent western unit your more then likely gonna find a good spot. If you follow some Tube doucher video and glance there Onx yeah its probbaly not a half bad spot either. Everyone like to sit on there CPU and e scout, this thread should be thanking the TY for all the gas you all save..
