2025 Traditional Hunt Success Thread

Not really shot my trad bows much since my shoulder surgery...but hope to by end of season this year. Have had some good hunts with both longbow and recurves past 30+ years. Got a nice turkey couple years ago...but good luck to all of you.

Keep em sharp,

Ron

Nothing special but a little nanny goat from yesterday morning. My first animal with a trad bow since about November 2024. Bow is only 46# on my fingers and arrows are about 550gn. Shot was very steep quartering away and penetrated from the guts in front of the back leg and came out the front of the neck on the opposite side, caught on the fletches.

I got this 8ft gator in Florida with my Black Widow PSA. Best part, my youngest son was there with me!

Small nanny goat for meat. It was during a meat hunting trip where several goats, fallow deer and a sambar deer where shot with rifles by mate and I and our young lads.20250701_114500.jpg
Among other things I made a couple of batches of fermented air dried salami. Sometimes the trophy is in the eating.
