Saw the new gear at Scheels today. Headwind seems to a direct competitor with the Jetstream. It has pit-zips as well. New pants seem heavier than the 206 but definitely quieter. New Son hoodie is super thin as well as the new rain jacket. Both are extremely lightweight.

Here is a picture of the Headwind. The price point will make it very appealing to those who like the Jetstream seems to be just as good at a little more than half the price.

Also just checked everything out.
The x1 is reminiscent of non hunting brands. Light and thin, definitely something you won’t notice in your pack. Not sure it’s any better performing than others in its class but we also have no data about the fabric or ratings. A little less robust feeling than the Sitka Dew Point and no pit zips. Would like to see a pant version

Headwall, looks like something from arcteryx high end thick grid fleece. Face fabric is much softer and quieter than the DH jacket. Next to the Jetsteam it’s thicker probably warmer having more fleece. Pit zips. Didn’t try it on. I can see this being great for early season but kinda bulky to pack.

Sun hoodie- micro hole fabric almost identical to the OR echo shirt I was wearing. Hood has a higher collar that might cover your chin. Nice long tail. Priced very well.

The new pants are quiet, didn’t try them one. Think a softer DH light with normal size hip vents.

The new colors are nice, very earthy but the shades don’t look like a park ranger uniform.

Did they by chance make a non hooded model?

I checked today and saw everything but the pants. Maybe I missed them. I think the x1 is probably the best piece and price if it performs as advertised.
Definitely interested in the pants as a quieter alternative as I always get annoyed by the DH lites swishing away when hiking.

OR Echo - good comp on the sun hoody, that OR one is my fav and what the SG fabric reminded me of.

I currently wear the DH lites from archery elk through late season whitetail. I just layer the helio base layer under for cold temps. Do you see the new pants as an all season option? With appropriate layering for cold/ rain etc..

If I’m not mistaken, in the interview, it was said they could be early to mid - if not late with layering. I don’t think the lites are that thick, so I’d imagine you could use the new ones in the same fashion.
