2025 Stone Glacier

Looks like some of the 2025 SG pieces are on Scheel's:

X1 Jacket - ($189) Looks like a lightweight & packable rain jacket.
Headwall Jacket - ($229) Grid fleece. Waterproof, but not seam taped, and windproof. It has pit zips and is advertised as being quiet enough for archery hunting.
Praxis Pant - ($189) Early season pant with hip vents and advertised as being quiet enough for archery hunting.
Halo Sun Hoody - ($75) Seems like a nice sun hoody.

I think these are good additions to their lineup and I'm excited to read some actual reviews from field use!

Rubber rain gear coming in 2026, thats what was eluded to at the end of the podcast. Stone glacier will educate thousands of new outdoorsman why waterproof breathable rain gear exists in the first place. (I joke…kind of)

Is the headwall jacket similar to say a Sitka Jetstream?

I dont have any experience with the Jetstream but the Headwall seemed like a very solid soft shell. Id say the outer material is very similar to the DeHaviland but I would guess it to be warmer and more versatile due to the grid fleece lining. Its definitely heavier and less packable than say a Cirque Lite.
The rain gear is awesome and a piece Im definitely going to add. My rain gear sits unused at the bottom of the pack most of the time. This jacket is light enough and packable enough to go unnoticed in your pack until you need it for a passing shower. Ill use it mostly as a wind jacket during glassing sessions and riding in and out on horseback. The brushed material makes it much quieter than say a Dewpoint, it doesnt have that plasticy crinkly feel to it. Take all this for what its worth since its all based on handling inside the store. They are definitely worth a look though

I was suprised to see it on the rack too. I would have thought that SG would have done some sort of release and had it on the website. Im not a marketing guy or business owner so far be it from me to question it, Im stoked about some of the pieces and glad I got to check them out

I’m trying to understand the purpose of the the stonewall as a shell, if it’s similar to the de havilland but is basically lined on the inside with a helio, what advantage is that compared to having your helio and de havilland seperate?
